Marvel Studios’ “Black Widow” trailer is finally here! Here’s your look at Scarlett Johannson’s first solo movie as Natasha Romanoff in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe from the brand new trailer for the movie which is in theaters May 1, 2020.
We’ve got our first look at Scarlett Johansson’s first solo movie as Natasha Romanoff in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is something that has been a very long time coming.
Who is Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow)?
Black Widow made her debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Iron Man 2 (2010). Scarlett Johansson also appeared as Black Widow in The Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Age of Ultron, Civil War, Infinity War and Avengers 4.
Producer Kevin Feige has assembled an all star cast and crew for the task of bringing this movie to life.
Director Cate Shortland is an Australian filmmaker who is best known for “Lore”(2012), “Somersault”(2004) and “Berlin Syndrome”(2017). has assembled and all star cast including:
Rachel Weisz (“The Favourite” 2018 and “The Constant Gardener” 2005) as Malena
David Harbour (“Stranger Things” 2016-2019 and “Suicide Squad” 2016) as Alexi
O-T Fagbenle (Luke on “The Handmaid’s Tale”) as Mason
Florence Pugh (“Midsommar” 2019 and “Little Women” 2019) as Yelena
Tessa at Mama’s Geeky has a great break down of the Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline for Phase 4. She wrote it after San Diego Comic Con when it was FINALLY announced that after over a decade of Black Widow’s contributions to The Avengers we would finally get a stand alone film about her… and it appears to be an origin story, no less! We don’t know much yet about this film’s story line, but based on this trailer, I cannot wait to learn more.
