“I am a Florida Cup Soccer Influencer Ambassador, and in exchange for my time and efforts in attending matches and reporting my opinion within this blog, as well as keeping you advised of the latest discount offers, Florida Citrus Sports has provided me with complimentary tickets to 2021 Florida Cup matches and other exclusive opportunities.”
The 2021 Florida Cup is coming up on July 25 and 28 at Camping World Stadium, and I’ll be the first to admit that I am not really a big sports fan but soccer is growing on me. I enjoy live sporting events in general and I cheer for my home teams, but for the most part I am not what you would consider a hard-core fan of many sports. There is some thing about the thrill of live games and matches though. The adrenaline and excitement is infectious. My heart has not always been in it and soccer has always been tough for me to connect to. My hometown of Orlando getting its own soccer teams has made me much more aware of the sport, but I’m not ashamed that recently falling in love with the show Ted Lasso has definitely pushed my interest in paying attention to the forefront. I am a fan by nature and consume anything to do with my obsession. So here we are… #footballislife

The 2021 Florida Cup semifinals, set for Sunday, July 25, will begin with a long-awaited contest between Italy’s defending Serie A champion, Inter, and legendary English Premier League side Arsenal, winners of the 2020 FA Cup. Arsenal and Inter have met just once since the teams faced off in a pair of memorable matches during the 2003 Champions League group stage, with the most recent tilt between the Gunners and Nerazzurri coming in 2007.
Sunday’s second match features another historic EPL squad, Everton, along with Colombian powerhouse Millonarios FC, and will begin approximately 45 minutes after the conclusion of the first game. Everton have spent a record 118 seasons in England’s top league and features one of the most popular Colombian athletes in midfielder James Rodriguez. Millonarios’ visit comes on the heels of another strong finish in Categoría Primera A, Colombia’s top league, a thrilling run that concluded with the club’s 25th championship appearance.
The winners from Sunday will then meet for the 2021 Florida Cup championship on Wednesday, July 28, with the runners-up squaring off in a third place match the same night; the third-place match is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. ET, with the championship to follow.
I will be there! Will you?
