Girl from the North Country kicks off the 24/25 Broadway in Orlando season
September 27, 2024The 2024/2025 Broadway in Orlando season has kicked off the 2022 Tony Award winning jukebox musical “The Girl from the North Country”. This is the first of many shows coming the Walt Disney Theater at the Dr Phillips Center in Orlando, Florida. As always, I am thrilled that Central Floridians have a chance to experience Broadway right in their “backyard”!
About Girl from the North Country
Experience the Tony Award-winning musical sensation, “Girl from the North Country,” described by the Chicago Tribune as “a Broadway revelation!” Set in 1934 Duluth, Minnesota, journey alongside a group of travelers whose paths cross in a guesthouse filled with music, life, and hope. Written and directed by Conor McPherson, with Tony Award-winning orchestrations by Simon Hale, this extraordinary production reimagines 20 iconic Bob Dylan songs, including classics like “Forever Young,” “All Along The Watchtower,” and “Like A Rolling Stone.” Don’t miss this “profoundly beautiful” experience, as praised by The New York Times, brought to vivid life by an exceptional cast and musicians.

The AdventHealth Broadway in Orlando 24/25 Season is presented by Florida Theatrical Association in partnership with Broadway Across America and the Dr. Phillips Center. The arts center’s Walt Disney Theater has been home to Broadway in Orlando for the past eight seasons, following Broadway’s two seasons at the former Bob Carr Theater before the Dr. Phillips Center opened in 2014.
